The Prospect Diagnostics team attended LACTIC 2025 to showcase the role of automated pupillometry and the Neurological Pupil Index (NPi) in acute and critical-care practice.

Across the conference we met with clinicians from Intensive care, acute medicine and emergency care to discuss how objective pupillary measurement can support faster, clearer neurological assessment. Many were keen to understand how NPi removes the subjectivity of pen-torch checks, helps identify neurological deterioration earlier, and provides reliable trendable data during a patient’s stay.

The event also gave us the chance to catch up with existing customers, hear how pupillometry is being used at the bedside, and introduce the technology to new teams exploring ways to strengthen their neuro-assessment pathways.

LACTIC 2025 proved a valuable opportunity to reinforce the growing role of automated pupillometry in modern critical care and to strengthen our relationships across the clinical community.
